البيرة – بحث رئيس بلدية البيرة، المهندس منيف طريش، مساء أمس، عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي «زووم»، مع السيد جوشوا كولانجيلو-بريان، أول مستشار خاص أميركي لمنظمة «حقوق الإنسان أولًا» (Human Rights First)، تداعيات مصادرة أراضي مدينة البيرة من قبل الاحتلال، وانعكاساتها على المواطنين ومستقبل المدينة.
واستعرض المهندس طريش خلال اللقاء واقع أراضي البيرة والتحديات التي تواجهها في ظل إجراءات الاحتلال، وما تتركه من آثار على حياة المواطنين وحقهم في أرضهم، مؤكدًا أهمية إيصال صوت المدينة وقضاياها إلى المجتمع الدولي.
وشدّد طريش على أن حماية أراضي البيرة وصون حقوق مواطنيها تستوجب اهتمامًا دوليًا جادًا وتحركًا ملموسًا، مؤكدًا ضرورة دعم الجهود الرامية إلى وقف إجراءات المصادرة، وضمان حق أبناء المدينة في أرضهم ومستقبلها، وفقًا للقانون الدولي وحقوق الإنس
Al-Bireh Mayor Discusses the Implications of
Land Confiscation in the City with Human Rights First Special Counsel
Al-Bireh – Mayor of Al-Bireh, Eng. Munef Treish, held a meeting via Zoom yesterday evening with Mr. Joshua Colangelo-Bryan, the first U.S.-based Special Counsel for Human Rights First, to discuss the implications of Israeli occupation land confiscation in Al-Bireh and its impact on residents and the city’s future.
During the meeting, Mayor Treish presented the situation of Al-Bireh’s lands and the challenges they face amid occupation measures, highlighting their impact on residents’ lives and their rights to their land.
